Lotus Notes/Domino v6.5.4 and higher contain a new LDAP attribute, DominoUNID .

DominoUNID contains a unique and unchanging value. It maps to the Domino Document Unique ID and it will never change, no matter what kind of rename happens to the Notes person or group object. The only way DominUNID would change is if a document was recreated (deleted and created new), or if it was severely corrupted and fixed. Outside of these extremes, it always stays the same.

DominoUNID requires Domino 6.5.4 and above on the server which is used for LDAP queries and also on the Administration server for the Domino Domain.

DominoUNID is not included in the default attribute set discovered by UnitySync. In order to read DominoUNID on the Source, you must create a custom Sourcedef File and add DominoUNID to the attribs= parameter list.

DominoUNID is not included in the default attribute set synced by UnitySync. In order to sync DominoUNID to a Destination object, you must create a Custom Map File and add an appropriate mapping to sync DominoUNID to the desired attribute.

Example mappings:

DN=CN=^DominoUNID^,~struct~

Description=^DominoUNID^
