An Operations Error may occur on writes (Add, Mod, Delete) during the Sync phase. This error indicates a loss of connection to the Destination directory.

If this is the first time you’ve seen this error, simply run your connection again as it may be a one-time connection problem. A repeat Sync may complete normally.

If the error continues to appear on future Syncs, notify your network administrator that it’s possible network/firewall issues are causing intermittent network connectivity problems. Also look for packet loss between the UnitySync server and the Destination server. This would explain connection loss at Sync time.

If your Destination is Active Directory, you can also try pointing the connection to another DC in the same domain. To do this, we suggest you request a temporary key so you can change the IP in your connection for the test.

To avoid any possibility of accidental deletes while testing an alternate DC, run a Simulation first and/or change the Destination tab’s Delete Function to Ignore Deletes. You can change this back later, after testing.

To request a temporary key, email your Install Serial Number (found on the UnitySync User Interface Launch Page to support@dirwiz.com. Attach your log file and reference this article to request a temporary key and obtain further assistance.
