Per our Web Server Configuration document, you should disable Anonymous Access and turn ON Windows Authentication for our products to work properly via IIS.

If ‘Windows Authentication’ isn’t showing as an option when configuring your virtual directory in IIS, it means the feature is not yet installed on your server.

There is a relevant Microsoft article:

Install or Uninstall Roles, Role Services or Features

Unfortunately, this article only gives an overview and doesn’t include the drill down to find Windows Authentication. All the steps are detailed concisely below.

====To add the feature in Windows 2012:

  • On the taskbar, click Server Manager.
  • In Server Manager, click the Manage menu.
  • Click Add Roles and Features.
  • In the Add Roles and Features wizard, click Next.
  • Select the installation type and click Next.
  • Select the destination server and click Next.
  • On the Server Roles page, expand Web Server (IIS), expand Web Server, expand Security, and then select Windows Authentication.
  • Click Next.
  • On the Select features page, click Next.
  • On the Confirm installation selections page, click Install. This will take a few minutes.
  • On the Results page, click Close.
  • You will to close the IIS Admin and reopen to see the feature appear now.
