Tags: Active Directory Errors Troubleshooting UnitySync

By default, UnitySync requires that your Destination Login ID be a Domain Admin. This allows the x400 root to be detected automatically and the appropriate syntax generated to populate the below default mappings:

textencodedoraddress=~x400~
proxyaddresses=X400:~x400~

If you are not using Domain Admin credentials, you will see the sync phase error:

X400 Template | Failed to Detect
LDAP Return | 32: No such object
LDAP Message             | 0000208D: NameErr: DSID-03151F00, problem 2001 (NO_OBJECT), data 0, best match

See setting x400 roots for an explanation of how to hard code your x400 root to avoid this error.

You may also disable x400 if appropriate for your environment.
