Setting profiler.cgi as the Default Content Page

If your Profiler url is Profiler.CompanyName.com, your end users need to go to page:
http://Profiler.CompanyName.com/profiler.cgi

 

You may not want your end users to be required to specify profiler.cgi, prefering instead:
http://Profiler.CompanyName.com

In this case, you may simply make profiler.cgi the Default Content Page. 

 

To do this:

  1. In your IIS manager, right click your Profiler Virtual Directory and select Properties.
     
  2. Go to the Documents tab. 'Enable default page' should already be checked.
     
  3. Click ADD, enter Profiler.cgi and click OK.
     
  4. Then, MOVE UP Profiler.cgi to the top. Click Apply and/or OK.

Now when you go to http://Profiler.CompanyName.com you should see the standard Profiler User login page.
