In some instances, problems have been reported running SimpleSync on Windows 2000 SP4 and Windows 2003. This includes problems where the execution of SimpleSync.exe fails to start the Admin tool. Another symptom is Sim and/or Sync may fail to run when executed from the GUI (command line execution usually works ok).
If you experience such problems, please run through the following steps and contact Support@dirwiz.com for further assistance.
If running SimpleSync on Windows 2003:
If the above suggestion doesn’t resolve the problem or if you are not running Windows 2003, please proceed as follows:
1. Make sure the recently installed version was installed to a brand new install directory, not over an existing installation of SimpleSync. If necessary, back up the existing install directory and then do a fresh install.
2. Execute Start/Run/%temp%. Select all and Delete, then Reboot.
3. Close all other user programs.
4. Run SimpleSync again and see if the same problem occurs.
If the problem continues to occur, contact Support@dirwiz.com and provide the following information about the server where SimpleSync is installed.
